What Can You Expect When Visiting the Prineville Chess Club?

A typical Friday evening is relaxed and social. Players of all levels pair up at boards for casual games or more serious matches. Experienced players are happy to offer advice or play teaching games.

Although we often play without time controls, we are happy to be challenged with a game of rapid. 10|5, 15|10, or 25|10 are common time controls.

• Boards, pieces, and clocks are provided, so all you need to bring is yourself (and optionally your own set if you prefer).
• Between rounds, there's plenty of conversation and analysis of interesting positions.
